Ayami awoke to the sound of songbirds. It was a peaceful melody and she was happy to know that she was someplace safe. She turned to her side; only to find Jounishi, sound asleep in the next bed. She was glad that he was all right too. She had no clue of what happened after the explosion and she had a lot of questions that she would like to have answered. Ayami reached over to Jounishi and poked his arm.

-“Ohayo!” Ayami said. Jounishi didn’t even budge. He must have been exhausted from the last battle.

-“Aww…Kawaii! He looks so tired. I’ll let him rest.”

            Ayami made her bed, and then left the room. She looked at the unfamiliar hallway and wondered where she was. She searched the temple until she came to the main room.

-“Um…Hello?” she said as she opened the door.

-“Oh, you’re all better. I knew you would be. Come on in.” Baiko replied. “My name is Baiko, I was the one who healed you. I am a powerful wizard. And this here is Mink.” He said while pointing to Mink.

-“Thank you Baiko, for healing me. It’s nice to meet you both.”

-“Meow…you must be hungry. I’ll go make you some breakfast.” Mink said while heading for the door.

-“Oh Mink! Would it be okay if I made us some breakfast? Ever since I came here, I haven’t been able to do anything helpful so the least I can do is make breakfast.”

-“Sure! Meow, it’d all right with me.”

-“You don’t have to worry about making it for me and Mink though. We have already eaten.” Baiko stated.

-“Okay! Thank you…oh um…would you first show me where the kitchen is?” Ayami said with her hand behind her head; she was giggling.

-“Oh course!”

            Baiko escorted Ayami to the kitchen. He showed her where the general cooking supplies were and then he was off. Ayami took out a huge pot and filled it with water. She then took a dozen packs of noodles and emptied them into it. She added some spices and seasonings to add flavour. While she waited for it to finish, she took out two glasses and filled them with orange juice. About 10 minutes later, it was finished. She had made a ton of ramen and couldn’t wait to gobble it all up. She emptied it all into two bowls and placed them onto a tray with the orange juice. She returned to the room in which she woke up in; Jounishi was still fast asleep.

-“Well, you’ve slept long enough.” She said as she took a deep breath. “WAKE UP!!!!!” she yelled into his ear.

            Jounishi jumped high into the air and then fell flat on his face.

-“What the hell?!?!?! What was that for?” Jounishi exclaimed.

-“Well, you were sleeping for too long and…”

-“So! I destroyed a dragon yesterday ya know and I think I deserve rest after all that!” Jounishi said while cutting Ayami off.

-“So you don’t have to be all grumpy about it! And I made you some breakfast!”

            That last line ended the argument. Jounishi looked down at all the delicious ramen that Ayami had made for him. He began to feel a bit bad about yelling at her after she had taken the time to make him breakfast.

-“Oh. Sorry. Thanks!” He said as he began to stuff his face with ramen.

-“No problem!” she joined him.

            The two of them loved ramen and had had it whenever they had the chance. They would eat tons and tons of it and never get tired of it. As the two of them were eating the dozen packs that Ayami had made, Mink was peeking through the door. She had been watching them the whole time.

-“Those two are very strange! Meow….they’re funny!” Mink said to herself as she returned to the main room, where Baiko was.

-“Baiko-sempai! Why are those two here anyway?”

-“You’ll find out soon, Mink. And so will they.” Baiko replied.

-“Meow?”

            Ayami and Jounishi had finally finished eating their breakfast. They only wished there were more.

-“Yummy! That was delicious!” exclaimed Ayami.

-“Yes it was. Thanks.” He said while rubbing his stomach.

-“No problem…Hey! We haven’t trained since we got here! Wanna go train for awhile?”

-“I always do. It’ll give me the chance to beat you again!”

-“Don’t get ahead of yourself, you’re the one who’s going down.”

-“Wanna bet? Let’s get started.”

-“We’ll be in the back, Baiko-san! We’re going to train for awhile!” Ayami yelled as the two of them headed out the back door.

            They each got into their starting positions. It was a really hot day and there was no breeze to keep them cool. They each had a smirk on their faces and were glaring into each other’s eyes. The two of them then charge at each other. They each bashed one of their arms into each other as they struggled not to get pushed down. They both jumped into the air and backed up a few spaces. Jounishi then threw a kick at Ayami; she stopped it with her hand and tried to trip him. He simply jumped up and threw a punch at her. She backed up in order to dodge it; she was successful. They fought for an hour straight and neither one of them was ready to back down. The two of them then threw a punch at each other at the same time. Both of them were hit in the face when Baiko called out to them.

-“Ayami! Jounishi! I have important matters to discuss with you.”

            The two of them were now falling to the ground. Just as they were about to hit the ground, they landed on their hands and did a front flip. They landed if front of Baiko, who was staring in amazement. 

-“You wanted to tell us something?” they both asked.

-“Uh…ya…just come on in.”

            The two of them followed him into a strange room full of staffs, swords and old books. Mink was standing there, waiting for us.

-“What’s all this?” Ayami asked

-“This is where I keep all my spells and other useful items. As you both know, I am a wizard. You two are probably wondering why you were brought here.”

-“Yes. Also, it seemed as if you were you expecting us, were you? And why I was able to use powers.” Answered Jounishi.

-“Well, I had a vision a couple days ago, you two were in it. That’s how I knew you two were coming. This is going to seem strange to you two but…you were brought to our world to defeat the Five Oni Ryuu Senshis.”

-“Five Oni Ryuu Senshis??? What’s that?” asked Ayami.

-“The question is…who are they? The Five Oni Ryuu Senshis are five warriors who are using their powers to destroy our world, or should I say, destroy everyone in it. They want to take over it. They are extremely powerful. They have the power to control creatures from our world and also, they use their spells to summon evil spirits and monsters.”

-“Sounds bad…but I still don’t understand how I was able to use powers. I’m not from this world so how is that possible.” Jounishi questioned.

-“I wish I knew the answer to that, but I don’t.

-“Another thing Baiko! Why would we be chosen to do this? What chance do we have at beating the Five Oni Ryuu Senshis? Ayami pondered.

-“I don’t know the answer to that either…but I know someone how would!”

-“Meow? Someone with more knowledge then Baiko-sempai?”

-“Yes Mink. There are many wizards stronger and smarter than me.”

-“Oh.”

-“His name is Saneatsu. He lives in another village, just West of here. I’m afraid you too will have to go through the forest again in order to get there. That could be risky.”

-“Meow! I have an idea! I can go with them! You’ve trained me a bit Baiko-sempai and I can use some magic! So I can help them get through the forest! And I know how to get there, so they won’t get lost!”

-“But Mink! You know you still have trouble using your powers! I haven’t trained you enough.”

-“But it’s better then if they go alone! Meow. You don’t mind if I go, do you?” She said while looking at Ayami and Jounishi.

-“Not at all” the two of them said.

-“See! So I’m going. And that’s that! Meow!”

-“Alright, but be careful…you’re like family to me Mink.” He said while handing her a shuriken. “Use this to protect yourself.”

-“Alright, thank you.”

-“All of you take care.” Baiko said.

-“We will! Thank you for everything! Bye!” The three of them said as the left the temple.

             They all walked to the forest where they first meet the dragon. The two of them couldn’t believe that it was up to them to save this mystical world. They didn’t even know how. Hopefully they would get all their questions answered when they arrive at the next village. The three of them stared into the forest, wondering what dangers lay ahead of them. They entered the forest and began their journey. Now with Mink on their side, they should be able to get through the forest safely. Jounishi grew more and more anxious to meet Saneatsu. He hoped to discover why he was able to use powers, and how. He wanted to use them again. This whole situation was getting more and more complicated, but no matter what, he wouldn’t let the Five Oni Ryuu Senshis destroy this amazing world.

-Does Saneatsu really know why our heroes were chosen to save this world? Will they get through the forest safely?
