-“Soooo….hungry…” Ayami said as she rubbed her tummy. “I’m gonna die of hunger.”

-“Stop complaining…we’re hungry too ya know.” He replied.

-“Meow! Hey there should be a little town just a few miles from here. We can stop there to eat.”

-“You’re a genius Mink! Lets hurry!”

            The three of them were walking in the forest for hours. They couldn’t wait to sink their teeth into some delicious food. They followed Mink into a small village, and ran to the closest restaurant they could find. The three of them entered; their mouths watered as they smelled the delicious aroma. The three of them quickly took their seats at a round table by the window as the waitress handed them their menus.

-“I’ll just have some sushi and two servings of ramen. Meow.”

-“I’ll have everything except for the shrimp.” Jounishi exclaimed.

-“And I’ll have everything except for the sea food please!” Ayami asked.

            The waitress just stared in shock. She couldn’t believe how hungry the two of them were. She had never met someone who ate as much as that.

-“I’ll be back soon with your food…It’ll only take a moment.”

            While the three of them waited, they talked about their adventure so far. Ayami and Jounishi asked many questions to Mink about magic, wizards and monsters.

-“So have you ever met this Saneatsu guy?” Jounishi asked.

-“No, meow, never. I didn’t even know there was anyone stronger and wiser than Baiko-sempai.”

-“How strong are you Mink? How long has Baiko been training you?” Ayami wondered.

-“Well, Baiko-sempai only started training me 3 years ago. Meow. He’s taken care of me my whole life and yet he only decided to train my then.”

-“Taken care of you your whole life? But…where are your parents?”

            Mink just stared at the table. She didn’t say a word. Ayami realized that Mink didn’t want to discuss that. The waitress then arrived with their food, the table was full of all sorts of platters. The whole restaurant stared in amazement as Jounishi and Ayami began to gobble down everything in sight. It was then that the whole place started to shake violently. As they looked out the window, a huge gust of wind shattered the glass and sent them flying. Ayami was stuck underneath a pile of tables, Jounishi was on top of the pile and Mink hanging from one of the lights that were on the roof.

-“Get off me! Jounishi!” Ayami screamed.” You’re crushing my bones!”

-“Oh…oops, hang on.” Jounishi got off the tables.

            Ayami then pushed all of them off here and went underneath where Mink was hanging.

-“Mink you okay?”

-“Ya I’m fine. Meow!” She said as she jumped to the ground. “Cats always land on their feet!”

            They all rushed outside to find out what created that gust of wind.

-“Wait! You didn’t pay for your food! Oh forget it…the whole restaurant is destroyed anyways.” The frustrated waitress said.

            Ayami, Jounishi and Mink ran towards the forest, where they had heard screeching. The second they reached it, a huge demon bird flew out of the forest.

-“MEOW!!!!” Mink yelled as she stared in horror.

-“Ahaha! A cat afraid of a bird! How fucked up is that?” Jounishi laughed. Mink just gave him an evil glare.

-“Um…in case you two haven’t noticed, the creature is coming after us!” Ayami yelled.

            The strange bird then fired an electric blast towards the three of them. Mink held out her hand and said: ”Shield of light, protect us!” A yellow barrier was then created, blocking the attack.

-“Way to go Mink!” Ayami cheered.

-“Thank you, but it won’t hold on much longer, meow. We can’t hide behind this shield forever. On the count of three, I want you to run in separate directions and don’t worry about me. Meow! One…two…THREE!”

            Ayami and Jounishi ran in opposite directions, Mink just stood in from of the huge bird. The bird then charged towards her at full speed. Mink closed her eyes and began whispering to herself. The moment she re-opened her eyes, an enormous red blast formed in front of her. As she pulled her hand back, the blast followed it, she then used all her might to send it flying into the bird. The creature was pushed backwards and crashed into the trees of the forest. Mink seemed proud of herself. She knew Baiko would be proud of her. She had used her magic properly and managed to help her friends. As the creature regained his strength, it managed to lift itself into the air once more. It searched the area and when it came across Ayami, it immediately charged towards her. Ayami looked worried but did not run away. She knew that running wouldn’t accomplish anything, she would have to fight. The bird came closer and closer and when it finally reached her, Ayami jumping high into the air, dodging the creature’s attack. She began to descent and landed on the bird’s back. It took to the sky as Ayami held on for her dear life. Her friends could only watch; it was way to high for Mink to attack. The creature shook and shook trying to get her off but Ayami wasn’t about to let herself fall. It grew more and more furious and then suddenly, it flew upside down causing Ayami to loose her grip.

-“AYAMI!” the two of them below shouted.

She knew her time had come, soon she would hit the ground and die. She thought of Jounishi, she thought of Mink, she thought of all her dreams that would never be accomplished. She closed her eyes, placed her two hands close together and began to pray. Then she said: “Ancient force, please give me the gift of flight!” Suddenly, she began to glow a pastel pink and stopped in mid-air. She opened her eyes, realizing that it worked; she was no longer falling.

-“Alright! It worked! I used a spell! I’m not gonna die anymore!” she said proudly.

-“Good job Ayami! Meow! You used your very first spell!”

            Ayami flew towards the bird and prepared herself for battle. This time it was her who started to charge. She started to punch, kick and tackle the creature as hard as she could. She finally managed to injure one of it’s wings. It landed on the ground to rest.

-“Jounishi! Hurry and cut its legs!!” Ayami ordered.

            Jounishi rushed to the huge bird and quickly grabbed his sword. Before it realized what was going on, Jounishi had already sliced off both of its legs. It screeched in pain and fell. Ayami then flew towards it and smiled.

-“You won’t be a bother to us any longer.” She said while raising her hand in the air. “ Angelic Curse!”  A pink ball with green rings circling it appeared in the palm of her hand, she winked at the bird and threw it with all her strength. It hit the helpless creature and completely demolished it. Ayami flew over to her friends.

-“Did you see that!?!? I used two spells! Yay me!”

-“We saw you, good job!” Jounishi replied.

-“But I couldn’t have beaten him without your help, ^-^Thanks^-^!”

-“Meow! You did well out there Ayami!”

-“Well anyways, it’s getting dark. We should find a Inn to crash for the night.” Ayami suggested.

            The three of them returned to the town. The sneaked past the restaurant they had been in earlier to avoid being yelled at. After all, they hadn’t paid for any of the food. They finally found an Inn and went to check in. Ayami and Mink shared a bedroom, and Jounishi took the room beside them. Ayami and Mink entered they’re room and were amazed at how nice it was. There was a queen size bed with extremely soft covers and puffy pillows, they had a snack cupboard full of delicious junk food and the drawers were full of comfortable clothes. Ayami rush to the snack cupboard and grabbed as much candy she could carry, then she ran to the bed while Mink went to turn on the television. The two of them got comfortable and watched some TV. Moments later a knock was heard at the door, it was Jounishi.

-“Hey, this place kicks ass. There’s tons of snacks. Oh and there’s lounge downstairs were we can relax and play pool and stuff. You two wanna go?”

-“Sure!” the two girls exclaimed.

            That night the three of them spent the whole time playing pool, listening to music and having a good time. Ayami and Jounishi were glad to be able to have fun again. The past two days have been hard for them and they really needed time to relax. It was at 2:00am that they decided to get some sleep. They practically dragged themselves up the stairs they were so tired.

-“Goodnight. Cya tomorrow.” Jounishi said as he headed to his room.

            He entered his room, got into some comfortable shorts and collapsed on his bed. He put the warm covers over him and turned off the light. He could here the girls getting ready for bed too. The second he closed his eyes, he fell asleep.

            Ayami and Mink changed into comfy pyjamas and got ready for bed. The two of them got in their queen size bed and slowly closed their eyes.

-“Sweet dreams Mink.”

-“Sweet dreams Ayami.”

            The three of them were going to sleep very well that night. It had been a long day and they needed to regain their strength. The moon was bright and the wind blew softly. That night the three of them dreamt happy dreams.

-Will our heroes learn more about their powers? When will they meet the Five Oni Ryuu Senshis?
