Unit 00 is the prototype Model, the first evangelion to ever be completed. It was orange at first but had to be completely remade when it was Melted by An Angel. Unit 00 is piloted by Rei Ayanami. |

The Pride and Joy Of NERV. Unit 01 is Piloted by Shinji Ikari and is probably the most powerful Eva of them all. It sometimes completely loses control and destroys the Angels Easily. Unit 01 was originally designed as the Test Model but is now Used for most of the missions. The difference about this Eva is that it was not created from Adam but from Lilith which is why it is valued more by nerv then any of the other evangelions. |

The First Production Model of the Evangelion. The Red Unit 2, is piloted by the Firery Red Headed Asuka Langly Sohryu. Unit 2 may be the first production model but it isn't the most powerful Eva on the block. It was built in Germany and Brought over to Japan later with Asuka. |

Evangelion Unit 03 was constructed in the USA. It was then brought over to Japan to be tested. It is piloted by the 4th Child, Touji Suzuhara. Right after first being activated, the Eva loses control and becomes one of the Angels. And unit 01 is dispatched to stop it... |

Can't tell you much about Unit 04. It blew up right after being activated in North America, which is the reason the americans wanted Unit 03 to be tested in Japan. |
| Evangelion Unit 05-13 |

Units 05 to 13 were all Identical. They looked very much different from the Other eva's and were powered by dummy plugs, therefore they didn't need any pilotes. They were taken out by Asuka, but then came back to life... |
